Differences between philosophy and science

The philosophy on the subject is much broader, since it covers all reality, aims to investigate the root causes, the root causes, its reason for being. Science seeks to explain the facts in order to establish laws, so concerned with the proximate causes (cause y takes effect x).
Philosophy questions the laws, aims to find answers to problems and not solutions and the answers are not definitive, are questionable and even solved problems are questionable. The concern of philosophy is to question very common ideas that we use every day without thinking about them. A historian may ask what happened in a certain past period and the philosophy question: "What is the past", a mathematician may investigate the relationship between numbers and the philosopher asks, "What is the number?". Philosophy as a method based on the thought, reason, does not resort to formal proofs but rational arguments. The method of science is based on observation, verification, testing and demonstration.
