Philosophy can be understood as an intellectual activity of those who love knowledge, engage in the search for truth about things. But not everyone can be called a philosopher. The current term is attributed to the philosopher people before events that however dramatic they are, appear calm, serene and rational before emotions and confident attitude they need to take. Also called the philosopher people living completely remote from reality (in the clouds), formulating ideas that falsely think, to reshape the world. And beyond these pejorative sense there are those who see the philosopher, a person who investigates the human experience and publish ideas in the form of reasoned conclusions and properly structured.
The etymological definition that was assigned by Pythagoras can be said that results from two Greek words: philos which means friend and sophos meaning wisdom, so friend of philosophy. And Pythagoras created the name Philosophos stop designate one of three types of people, but this designation was only attributed to the gods; they just had all the knowledge, other types of people including the vast majority of people who have judged all knowledge enough, did not have any knowledge. These people called them ignorant. And an intermediate level there are the people who are not having all knowledge, which is only attributable to the gods, they are not aware of how ignorant and unaware of how much they need to walk to reach the know. So this philosophical attitude of people seeking answers to their questions is a philosophical activity driven by intellectual interests and events of things, looking understand them and give them a sense.
There is a philosophical age par excellence and it is considered that and that is adolescence. Since children who ask questions like: Where is the end of the world; Why there are bad men; but it is in adolescence, with the appearance of intellectual skills we face issues related to politics, society, justice, violence, and offer resistance to adult authority, calling into question the values of society and our parents that we taught until then. The philosophy as an intellectual activity, is no more than we like in life and know the living and do something with our lives so we like the most of our lives, helping others to enjoy our life and like our life and thereby life itself.
